Okyeame Kwame and Kofi Kinaata Named Coconut Ambassadors

The biggest Coconut Festival is scheduled to take place in the country from September 24-26, 2019 at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC).

The programme would be held on the theme: “Promoting Export Diversification through a Robust Ghanaian Coconut Industry”.
The event is being organised by the African Coconut Group in collaboration with the Ghana Export Promotion Authority, Ministry of Food and Agriculture, Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development, Planting for Export and Rural Development Programme (PERD) and the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture.

It is being supported by the Ghana Free Zones Authority, AGRA, CSIR, Ministry of Health, FDA, HortiFresh Other partners include Coconut Federation, Canada Coconut Festival and the AM African Group Ltd.
Under the theme, Coconut Festival Canada from Toronto to Ghana and the World, this festival is going to cause a momentous international movement that will bring together the leading coconut industry players from across the globe and establish Ghana’s coconut sector to the entire world.
The festival will take place on September 24 to 26, 2019 at the Accra International Conference Centre and would be

marked with several activities including but not limited to:
Trade and exhibition activities
Seminars and Mentorship of University Students to take advantage of the PERD Programme
Conference on Economic and technical negotiation activities
Friendship City networking activities and Universities Sister Networking
Ghana folklore, celebrations and cultural performances, online sales of premium coconut products on sokocentre.com,
Coconut farm visit
company visit
In collaboration with the Canada’s Coconut Festival and other major public sectors and several local and international sponsors, the festival aims to connect and serve the Ghanaian community and other international participants through the development and promotion of coconut from the root to its leaves. Some of the benefits it presents to direct and indirect  participants of the event include:
