Squash lentil

Ingredients

1 cup lentil

1 medium size butternut squash

A pinch salt

Pepper

Salt petre

1 medium size chopped onions

2 clove of garlic minced

2 tbsp. oil

Water

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Preparation

Peel and de-seed and cut squash into big chunks and put a size

Pick and wash lentil,add water and salt petre and cook for an hour or till soft. Cook squash separately and mash it. Add mash squash, salt, pepper, onion, garlic and oil and let it simmer for 10 minutes.

Serve with gari and fried plantain.
