GENERAL MANAGER/ TEAM LEADER
Job Brief
The team leader ensures that everything runs smoothly and serves as a go-between for all team members and stakeholders. If there is a problem, the eLearning project manager is there to discuss possible solutions with the team or take it upon themselves to remedy the situation, depending on the nature of the obstacle. This is the individual who propels the eLearning project forward and keeps everyone on track and focused on the common goal. This individual must be an excellent communicator and self-starter. Motivation is essential in any eLearning project, and the leader is there to provide inspiration and motivation to the eLearning team.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Designing and applying appropriate project management standards for incorporation in the NI Gateway Review Process
- Managing the production of the required deliverables
- Planning and monitoring the project
- Adopting any delegation and use of project assurance roles within agreed reporting structures
- Preparing and maintaining project, stage and exception plans as required
- Managing project risks, including the development of contingency plans
- Liaison with programme management (if the project is part of a programme) and related projects to ensure that work is neither overlooked nor duplicated
- Monitoring overall progress and use of resources, initiating corrective action where necessary
- Applying change control and configuration management processes
- Reporting through agreed lines on project progress through highlight reports and end-stage assessments
- Liaison with appointed project assurance representatives to assure the overall direction and integrity of the project
- Maintaining an awareness of potential interdependencies with other projects and their impact
- Adopting and applying appropriate technical and quality strategies and standards
- Identifying and obtaining support and advice required for the management, planning and control of the project
- Managing project administration
- Conducting a project evaluation review to assess how well the project was managed
- Preparing any follow-on action recommendations
- In development projects the project manager also provides the interface between the project sponsor and the supply side of the project team
- Coordinate with System/Software Development Manager to develop and implement informative and interesting marketing materials as well as communicative communication strategies that build customer loyalty programs, brand awareness and customer satisfaction
- Coordinate with System/Software Development Manager to create communication and marketing strategies for new products, launches, events and promotions
- Seek partnership with various educational institutions, private companies and state owned companies
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Apply a project management approach (e.g. PRINCE2 or PMBOK of PMI) to the specific requirements of projects.
- Establish a good working relationship with the Senior Responsible Owner.
- Direct, manage and motivate the project team.
- Develop and maintain an agreed project plan and detailed stage plans.
- Understand and apply business case and risk management processes.
- Tailor expert knowledge to meet specific circumstances.
- Plan and manage deployment of physical and financial resources to meet project milestones.
- Build and sustain effective communications with other roles involved in projects.
- Apply quality management principles and processes.
INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGNER & CONTENT DEVELOPER
Job Brief
The Instructional Designer uses all instructional design principles, models and learning theories, at their disposal to fulfil learning objectives and fill in the knowledge gaps. They carry out a wide range of tasks, from cultivating and managing eLearning course content to creating storyboards and developing compliance manuals. Instructional Designers typically have an in-depth knowledge of eLearning authoring tools and learning management systems, as they must use them to design and develop meaningful eLearning experiences.
Since graphics designing plays an essential role in eLearning systems, the Instructional Designer should be a very good Graphics Designer. The Graphic Designer handles all of the graphs, animations, user interfaces, and in some cases even printed learning materials. They may also be in charge of producing the eLearning videos and scenarios, as well as any other highly interactive elements within the eLearning course design. The graphic designer will also take care of the design of the branding logos that are featured throughout the eLearning course and on the respective marketing and promotional materials.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content with software tools such as; Articulate 360, Doodly, Audition, Audacity, Photoshop, Illustrator
- Work with subject matter experts to identify target audience’s training needs.
- Set instructional end goals and create content that matches them.
- Visualize instructional graphics, the user interface and the finished product.
- Analyse and apply trends and best practices in learning technologies and instructional design.
- Provide exercises and activities that enhance the learning process.
- Create supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games etc.).
- Devise modes of assessment, such as tests or quizzes, to measure the effectiveness of the course.
- Maintain project documentation and course folders.
Education/Experience:
- Previous working experience in instructional design for (x) years
- In-depth knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models
- Lesson and curriculum planning skills
- Basic HTML and Flash programming knowledge
- Visual design skills (Articulate Storyline, Doodly, Audition, Audacity, Photoshop, Illustrator)
- Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio and video scripts
- MA degree in instructional design, educational technology or similar relevant field
SYSTEM/SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
Job Brief
This role extends beyond the development process. The System/Software Development Manager works out any technical glitches within the eLearning course, making certain that everything runs smoothly, and manages the networks and tech tools. For example, if special programming is required in order for a course element to be uploaded into the eLearning platform, the System/Software Development Manager may offer their support. They may also be responsible for helping learners who cannot login to the eLearning course or encounter a technical issue.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Building and Installing new software and hardware components.
- Regularly evaluating our IT systems to ensure they meet the necessary demands.
- Assisting with network administration tasks.
- Ensuring data storage is safe and secure.
- Resolving all issues co-workers have with their IT systems and software.
- Educating co-workers about network security and best practices for computer usage.
- Supporting the day-to-day operations of our computer network.

Education/Experience:
- Degree in computer science or related field is preferable.
- Professional certification (e.g. CCNS, CISSP, MCSE).
- Strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication ability, both written and verbal.
- Personable, professional demeanour.
